Director of LEPL College “Mermisi”, Nona Gudushauri, visited Bonn, Germany, together with representatives of vocational education institutions, to exchange international experience and strengthen cooperation in the field of vocational education and training (VET).
The study visit was organized by the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia with the support of the National Center for Teacher Professional Development.
The visit aimed to promote the internationalization of vocational education by sharing best practices from the German VET system, exploring modern teaching approaches, and strengthening long-term cooperation between Georgian and German vocational education institutions.
During the visit, the delegation held working meetings with leading German organizations and vocational education institutions:
BIBB (Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training) – Participants gained insights into the German vocational education and training system, quality assurance standards, and current developments in VET.
Robert-Wetzlar-Berufskolleg (Vocational College, Bonn) – At this UNESCO Associated School, the delegation explored the modern learning environment, practical teaching methodologies, student support mechanisms, and successful models of cooperation with employers.
