Vocational education teachers of the professional educational programs “Hotel Services” and
“Restaurant Services”, Tinatin Dolidze and Iulia Gomurishvili, were on a study visit to Italy, in the city of
Spoleto, at the hospitality institute IPSEOASC Alberghiero “Giancarlo De Carolis” Spoleto, from February
22 to 28, 2026, within the framework of the Erasmus+ program.
The main objective of the visit was to share professional experience and to strengthen international
cooperation, particularly in terms of developing student and vocational education teacher exchange
programs.
Within the framework of the visit, working meetings were held with the Institute’s Director, the
Erasmus+ Program Coordinator, and vocational teachers. During these meetings, prospects for
expanding cooperation and joint educational initiatives were discussed. The teachers explored the
institute’s modern infrastructure, attended practical and laboratory classes, and became familiar with
European standards for the implementation of vocational modules.
This study visit represents an important step towards the development of exchange and collaborative
projects between institutions, the sharing of best practices, and the professional development of
students, teachers, and administrative staff. The knowledge gained and the partnerships established will
significantly contribute to the implementation of modern standards and the development of the
educational process. At the same time, the visit reflects College “Mermisi’s” strong commitment to
internationalization and to expanding international cooperation within the Erasmus+ framework, further
strengthening the competitiveness of both students and vocational education teachers at both local and
international levels.
LEPL College “Mermisi” expresses its sincere gratitude to the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of
Georgia for its support.
